Margaret says,

‘Hazel and I are looking forward to getting our walking boots on to help Glasgow’s Golden Generation.  We were first introduced to this charity in 2022 and I’ve been incredibly impressed by their dedication and professionalism in helping older adults across the city.  Loneliness, isolation and poverty can affect any age group but it can be particularly acute in the older generation and we’re delighted to be raising both money and awareness for this amazing charity.’

Walkers of all ages and abilities will be heading for the finish line on the banks of Loch Lomond at Balloch on 30th April.  The ‘Mighty Stride’ walkers will start 22 miles away at Glasgow Green;  the ‘Big Stroll’ walkers start 14 miles away at Clydebank’; and the ‘wee wander’ family walkers will cover the 3 miles from Loch Lomond shores.  Margaret and Hazel will be participating in the ‘Big Stroll’.
