Amy Ali
Professional Background
I completed my LLB at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2022 and at the time I was not sure which direction I wanted my career to take so I decided to do a Master’s degree in Law at Glasgow University where I studied different areas of Law, more specifically autonomous weapons and artificial intelligence in war spaces and in organised crime.
Upon finishing my Master’s I was yet again at a stage where I was not sure which direction to take. At this point I started to progress at Wallace Quinn as a Trainee Paralegal which I have really enjoyed. It has created a desire to progress and develop my knowledge in Conveyancing. Since then I have decided to work towards the Diploma in Legal Practice with the intention to commence a traineeship at Wallace Quinn.
How did you end up in this role?
I first discovered Wallace Quinn through one of our former Directors who was looking for an Administration Assistant to work in our Livingston office in 2021. At that point I was still a student completing my LLB and was looking for experience in the legal field. I have also accepted a Traineeship subject to the completion of my studies which should hopefully commence in 2025.
What aspects of your job do you find most fulfilling?
As I have progressed through Wallace Quinn, I have found that the most fulfilling aspect of my role is the ability to meet our clients in person and add a personal touch to their transactions. Building these personal connections and contributing positively to their legal experiences brings a deep sense of satisfaction.
Could you describe your day at Wallace Quinn?
My day-to-day activities include working on and maintaining clients transactions, more specifically in our Residential Conveyancing Department. My tasks vary on a daily basis ranging from liaising with clients, maintaining files and assisting my colleagues where they require me.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, and most importantly, my cats. I also have a passion for playing badminton, which allows me to indulge in my competitive nature while staying active and healthy.
What do you appreciate most about working at Wallace Quinn?
I really appreciate the people at Wallace Quinn, they have been supportive of me throughout my studies and development. They have watched me grow as a person and as a professional – I could not ask for a better team to work with.

Tionist
The responses I get from Amy Ali are timely and sincere. They will always go the extra miles to help do the due diligence on the property, even if we didn’t request that.
This is the best team to work with and together with their colleagues, they have tried to ease the transaction process by providing a clear process on every transaction we made.
Thank you again Amy as well as all other team members involved. Look forward to working together again and will highly recommend your service to others.
